New funding project

The laboratory of Philipp Rathert has received new funding from the German Cancer Aid for an interdisciplinary research project in collaboration with clinical researchers at LMU Munich.

The focus is on understanding drug resistance in ovarian cancer, one of the most lethal cancers in women. Despite modern therapies, many tumors become resistant to cytotoxic drugs. Our team investigates epigenetic mechanisms that allow cancer cells to adapt to their environment and escape treatment. We concentrate on the roles of the NuRD complex and FLYWCH1, with the aim of developing new therapeutic strategies and improving outcomes for affected patients.
