The Institute of Biochemistry opens its doors from 1 - 6 pm

Experience the fascinating world of biochemistry up close! On Science Day, the Institute of Biochemistry opens its doors and invites you to take part in exciting experiments. Be inspired by glowing proteins and experience how the spectacular “elephant toothpaste” is created. Become an active researcher yourself - you can test your skills by pipetting in the laboratory!
A highlight: use a special test to detect traces of cocaine on your own banknotes. You can also discover the institute, get to know the biochemistry course and immerse yourself in the exciting world of biochemistry.

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Bachelor's degree course in Biochemistry during a short presentation at 3 pm. This will take place as part of the Bachelor's Day in lecture hall V47.03.

At 4.30 pm, Junior Professor Dr. Franziska Traube will give an exciting lecture in the seminar room of the Institute of Biochemistry (-1.177) on the topic “How do mRNA vaccines work?”
